Gouache: Illustrations &Patterns- Gouache is having a moment, and for good reason. This opaque, water-based paint is a favorite of illustrators, surface designers, and fine artists. Over four weeks, you'll explore what makes gouache so special and use it to create artwork you'll actually want to hang on your wall.
Each week builds on the last: understanding the medium, building confident illustrations, designing repeat patterns, and finishing a personal mini-project in your own emerging style. We draw inspiration from botanical illustration, folk art traditions, and modern graphic design.
No prior gouache experience needed. Beginners are warmly welcomed, and more experienced painters will find plenty to explore. Come ready to play and learn!
