Pastels Deep Dive- 6 Weeks- Curious about soft pastels but not sure where to begin? This six-week beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start. You’ll get to know the materials and explore the vibrant, expressive world of soft pastel through guided exercises. From colorful seascapes to bold florals, we’ll focus on simple shapes, layering techniques, and intuitive color choices. Whether you’re brand new to pastels or just looking to loosen up your approach, this class will give you the confidence and tools to start creating with ease.

2 Week Whimsical Landscape Workshop- Ready to go bigger, looser, and more imaginative with your art? In this 2-week mini course, artist Stephanie Berry will share the secrets behind her signature whimsical landscapes — and guide you in creating your own.

You’ll explore a variety of materials, experimenting to discover what feels most natural to your style. Working from 3–5 inspiration images of your choice, you’ll build up your paintings layer by layer, introducing a new material with each round. The result? No two artworks will ever look alike.

Come play, explore, and bring a little magic and whimsy into your landscapes!

Mount & Seal Your Artworks!: Presenting Watercolors Without Glass:: Join Danielle Hood for a hands-on, two-part workshop where you’ll learn how to mount your watercolor or gouache artwork on a panel and seal it for a beautiful, glass-free presentation - so it can be framed and hung similar to oil or acrylic paintings.  We’ll cover surface prep, safe adhesion techniques, and applying a protective wax coat so your piece is ready to frame or hang.

Color Curious? A Beginners Guide to Color Mixing (PM)- Do you love the idea of painting but feel frustrated—or even intimidated—when it comes to mixing colors? Join Amy Toneys for a fun 4 week class! This supportive, hands-on course will help you overcome those fears and gain confidence with color. Using a limited palette, you’ll learn how to identify hues and mix your own with clarity and intention. Fundamentals such as color mixing and theories, paint and imagery layering and composition will be discussed and practiced. We paint and interpret from still life setups, our own printed photos and imagination. Class will begin with a short lesson/demo warm up that you'll try on paper, then we'll start a painting of your choice on canvas.

This class is best suited for Beginner and Mid level artists. Jen has a keen sense of what her students need for guidance so she can effortlessly support students at both levels simultaneously.

If you are a more advanced artist or have taken this class before and are ready to work more independently, Jen welcomes you to join this class for the space and place. You'll enjoy friendly, constructive critique and camaraderie. You can participate in the lesson and warm ups if you would like or just get right to painting at your own pace.

Color Theory Deep Dive- Exploration for Watercolor & Gouache Artists- Whether you’re looking to mix cleaner, more intentional colors or understand the science behind what’s in your paint tubes, this class will give you the tools to make confident color choices in your creative practice.

In this class we will learn how to decode your paint tubes, and we’ll explore essential color mixing strategies to help you avoid muddy results. Expect a mix of demos, guided exercises, and hands-on exploration. We’ll also cover often-overlooked topics like mixing neutrals, earth tones, and muted color palettes.

2 Week Mini Artworks Workshop- What’s better than a painting? A tiny painting! In this playful workshop, we’ll shake things up and think small — literally. Instead of working on one large piece, you’ll explore painting and illustrating on a miniature scale, creating a series of tiny works of art.

With a single theme or focus to tie your pieces together, you’ll stretch your creative thinking and leave with at least 10 mini-sized artworks that make a big impact. In our final class, we’ll host a mini studio display so everyone can admire the collection of small-but-mighty masterpieces.

Adult Art Camp Series: Hydrangea Art Workshop: Adults can go to art camp too! Come to the studio garden, for our annual Hydrangea Workshop! Create an artwork inspired by our lovely hydrangea wall that fills the studio garden. We will have a plethora of supplies to use, so adult “camper” artists will be able to feel inspired by what feels right to them. Watercolors, thread, pastels, inks are just some of the materials we will have out. During this 3 hour workshop we will talk about composition, color theory, layering, and design elements to make your hydrangea pop with visual interest. Come do something for yourself, and hang at the art studio for a few hours!

Soft Pastel Skies Workshop: Have you been curious about painting with soft pastels but feel intimidated to start? Fear no more! 

Join us for a hands-on, beginner friendly workshop exploring the wonderful, meditative world of soft pastels through an accessible subject matter - skies! 

This class will begin with a demonstration covering materials, basic techniques and tips for handling soft pastels effectively. There will be a series of guided exercises on color, light and form before creating your own masterpiece.

Join us at Town Landing Boat Launch in Yarmouth, from 10:30am-12:30pm on June 16th! We will set up on some picnic tables, or throw a blanket on the ground (if you feel able enough to do so), and take in the surroundings to inspire our artworks. Whether you are painting a boat or the landscape, join us as we let nature to inspire us.

Adult Art Camp Series: Watercolor Pouring Method: Adults can go to art camp too! Have fun with this one day watercolor workshop as we dive into the world of “the pouring method”. This method allows artists to pour liquid watercolor layer by layer, and let loose a little. With this technique, artists will choose their subject matter and receive 3 liquid watercolors to “pour” onto their papers to create stunning artworks. This workshop is great for those that want to try something completely different, as this does not use a paintbrush in a standard painting format. Watching paint dry has literally never been more fun! Come try this awesome practice of watercolor pouring!
