Lobster Picnic: A Watercolor + Paper Collage Workshop- Inspired by classic Maine picnic imagery, including lobster, corn, mussels, and gingham, students paint individual watercolor motifs, then cut and layer them into a finished collage composition.
Over three sessions, students build a personal visual vocabulary of coastal Maine imagery: painting motifs, mastering cutting and layering techniques, and composing a final piece on a patterned watercolor background. Students leave with a finished 18x24 inch composition suitable for framing.
