Floral Watercolor Collage Workshop - Coastal Edition- If you enjoyed Session 1 (or if you are new to the collage classes), come back as we create another stunning 18x24" watercolor collage—this time celebrating the beauty of Maine's shoreline! This session focuses on the organic textures and subtle colors of coastal treasures: delicate seaweed fronds, clusters of blue-black mussels, wispy sea heather, oyster shells with their pearlescent interiors, and elegant sandpipers. Continuing in the tradition of Mary Delany and Marianne North, you'll hand-paint each coastal element using watercolors, exploring the unique textures and earthy palette of the seaside. We'll discuss composition, color harmony, and how to create depth and movement in your piece. Together, we'll arrange and assemble our collages, adding those finishing details that bring your coastal scene to life. No experience necessary—all skill levels are welcome! Whether you're returning from Session 1 or joining us for the first time, you'll leave with another large-format, framable work of art that captures the serene beauty of the Maine coast.

Gouache Studio: Illustrations and Patterns- Gouache is having a moment, and for good reason. This opaque, water-based paint is a favorite of illustrators, surface designers, and fine artists. Over four weeks, you'll explore what makes gouache so special and use it to create artwork you'll actually want to hang on your wall.
Each week builds on the last: understanding the medium, building confident illustrations, designing repeat patterns, and finishing a personal mini-project in your own emerging style. We draw inspiration from botanical illustration, folk art traditions, and modern graphic design.
No prior gouache experience needed. Beginners are warmly welcomed, and more experienced painters will find plenty to explore. Come ready to play and learn!

2 Week Painting Studio- Framing and Presenting Your Work- This studio-style class is designed to help artists focus on creating a cohesive body of work. Together, we’ll bridge the gap between making art for fun and preparing artwork for display.
This class is perfect for those who have both finished and unfinished pieces at home and want dedicated time to edit, refine, and prepare their work for framing and presentation. Throughout the four weeks, we’ll talk about choosing pieces that work well together, finishing artwork, simple framing options, and how to present your work confidently.
As a culminating studio project, students will have the opportunity to showcase their artwork at a local café in Yarmouth this summer.
Come join us for a focused and supportive studio experience as we refocus, refine, and prepare your artwork for display!

Watercolor Nature Studies- Over four Fridays, we'll use nature as our subject and our teacher. Seaweed, shells, mushrooms, and other found objects will guide us through foundational watercolor skills: color theory, layering, texture, and composition. But just as importantly, this class is about developing a more intentional creative practice, one built on observation, curiosity, and the satisfaction of really seeing something before you paint it.
Each week builds on the last, so you'll leave not just with finished paintings but with a new way of approaching your art. All levels welcome, from first-time painters to artists looking to deepen their practice.

Loose & Flowy Watercolors-If you've ever wished your watercolors felt more free, more fluid, and more alive, this class is for you. Over four Mondays, we'll explore the expressive, flowing side of watercolor, learning to work with water and movement rather than against it.
Through big bloomy florals and gestural washes, you'll build confidence in the wet-on-wet technique and discover how much beauty lives in a soft edge and an unexpected bloom. We'll cover color mixing directly on the paper, composition basics, and how to paint with energy and intention without overworking your piece.
No prior watercolor experience needed. Whether you're just starting out or looking to loosen up a more rigid painting style, this class offers a warm, encouraging space to experiment and play.

Line Lab: Communicating Through Intentional Mark-Marking-Line is one of the most fundamental (and often overlooked) elements of visual art. In this 4-week class, students will focus on line as a primary tool for description, expression, and decision-making. Rather than emphasizing realism or finished drawings, the class centers on how line quality, weight, rhythm, and restraint shape an image. Through short lectures, demonstrations, and guided studio exercises, students will explore a range of line approaches from slow observational contour to expressive and minimal mark-making. Emphasis will be placed on intentional choices: when to add a line, when to vary it, and when to leave it out altogether.
Students will work primarily in small formats, completing a series of line-based studies and one to two more resolved compositions. Subject matter will remain simple (think: still life objects, natural objects, or abstract prompts) so attention can stay on how lines function rather than what is being drawn.
This class is appropriate for all levels and works well alongside drawing, painting, or mixed-media practices. Students may work in ink, charcoal or graphite; materials will be kept intentionally simple to support focus and experimentation. Some materials will be provided and a materials list will be sent prior to class.

Floral Watercolor Collage Workshop- Immerse yourself in the elegant art of botanical collage as we create stunning 18x24" floral compositions that blend natural beauty with vintage charm.
Drawing inspiration from 18th-century botanical artist Mary Delany and Victorian explorer-painter Marianne North, you'll craft a distinctive piece featuring vibrant florals, cheerful lemons, a classic Maine lobster, lush seasonal greenery, and a hand-painted vintage paper vessel.
In this relaxed, creative session, you'll hand-paint each collage element using watercolors, learning to play with color, texture, and scale to bring your vision to life. We'll explore compositional techniques together, discussing how to arrange your pieces for maximum visual impact. Then, as a group, we'll assemble our collages and add those perfect finishing touches that make each piece uniquely yours.
No experience necessary—all skill levels are welcome! Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or are a seasoned artist, you'll leave with a large-format, framable work of art that's distinctly yours.
